TRAINING
IN EDMOND
One-on-one skills sessions at The Hive Sports Complex on N Lincoln Blvd, coached by Lou Dunbar II, a current Harlem Globetrotter who set the single-game scoring record at Oklahoma City University.
Where We Train
THE HIVE,
NORTH EDMOND
Every session runs at The Hive Sports Complex, 14414 N Lincoln Blvd #100, Edmond, OK 73013. It sits just north of Memorial Road on Lincoln, a few minutes from Edmond North, Santa Fe, Memorial and Deer Creek. Families from Oak Tree, Coffee Creek, Fairfax and the Kilpatrick Turnpike corridor are usually inside 15 minutes.
The court is indoor, full length and open 6 AM to 11 PM, so early mornings before school and late evenings after practice both work. Parents can watch from the sideline or drop off and pick up.
What A Session Looks Like
SIXTY MINUTES,
NO WASTED REPS
A session with Lou is a 60-minute private workout built around one player. The first ten minutes are ball handling and footwork at game speed. The middle thirty are the focus of the day: shooting mechanics, finishing through contact, reading a defender, or creating space off the dribble. The last twenty put it into live situations so the skill holds up on Friday night, not just in an empty gym.
Lou keeps notes between sessions. Parents get a short recap after each workout with what was worked on, one win, and homework for the week. Packages come with a personal booking link so you can grab open times on your phone.
- Ages 8 through high school, grouped by level
- Shooting, footwork, ball handling and scoring moves
- Session recap texted to the parent
- Coached by a current Harlem Globetrotter
Who This Is For
EDMOND PLAYERS
WHO WANT MORE
Most Edmond families come to Lou for one of three reasons. Their player is trying to make a middle school or high school roster and needs a more reliable shot. Their player already starts and wants to become the go-to scorer. Or their player loves the game and practice at the park is not enough anymore.
Lou trains all three. He played college ball at Oklahoma City University, where he set the school records for points in a game (50) and threes in a game (11), was drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters, and still plays every season. The drills are the ones that actually got him there. Siblings and friends can share a family session and split the cost.
